The space: TA 2,500 square foot Grade II Listed space in Northamptonshire with stunning natural light through 9 large Georgian windows. This studio retains a “shabby chic” look with distressed white paintwork and original features.
The Natural Light Studio has 2,000 square foot of refurbished antique oak flooring, resealed to make it fire-proof. Consequently, with prior agreement, we are able to accommodate certain fire arts for photography and performance use. The space has a 5.5m aerial rig point (for aerial circus training, photo and video shoots, levitation shots and shoot-downs). We have house aerial equipment and crash mats available for use.
At the eastern end of the room are a series of backdrops, the studio has a 4.5m tall movable white vinyl backdrop and multitude of props available for use.
In the hallway outside of the space is an additional shoot area (shared with sister studio The White Room), which boasts a huge Georgian window, a functional loading door with shabby-chic peeling blue paint and an early 20thC military metal lift cage.
Our customers are also welcome to shoot outside in our historic Grade II Listed site, where we have a picturesque canal, large redbrick factory-style buildings, vintage vehicles and derelict-looking areas of scrub. Please note it is a working site and we ask customers not to impede or disrupt other site users.
There is a purpose-built changing room within the space, with lit makeup mirror and table, fridge, locker, and studio wardrobe with a wide variety of clothing available for use. In the landing outside there is a facilities block, for use by our clients only, with kitchenette (with microwave, fridge, kettle, sandwich toaster and complementary hot and cold drinks and snacks), shower and toilet.
We have plentiful free and secure parking on our site, and offer free pickup/drop-off from local train stations for bookings of >3 hours.
